Rich Osborn - Guitar Explorations



Today is the release of Rich Osborn's new album 'Giving Voice: Guitar Explorations'. Rich creates sublime music on the acoustic guitar, playing in a 'Free Raga Style'...a style developed from his initial lessons with Robbie Basho in the 1970's. Rich also contributed a track to the album 'Beyond Berkeley Guitar' curated
by Sean Smith. Rich gives insight to Robbie Basho in the article 'Voice of the Eagle' Winter 2012 Issue 24 of Fretboard Journal

Robbie Basho 'Twilight Peaks'

Today is the reissue of Robbie Basho's last recordings “Twilight Peaks” on the Smeraldina-Rima label. It was originally issued in 1984 on a tape label called “The Art Of Relaxation”. It was mastered for vinyl and CD in its entirity by Glenn Jones and Matt Azevedo, from the original demo tapes. The LP version contains one bonus track that was part of the original sessions. The CD version also has two extra live tracks, culled from the original tapes as well. Amazing liner notes by Glenn Jones and Rich Osborn. LP cut and pressed by Eldorado. Drawings by Wouter Vanhaelemeesch. Comes in an open two-colour sleeve, designed & screenprinted by Smeraldina-Rima. First pressing of 500 copies.
