Various shots performing with Adaya & Band in Switzerland May 2017 with what I consider a Holy Grail Les Paul. It's a 2008 Gibson Custom Shop JB Sig Goldtop ser no. 270 (of 300 run). Pickups are dynamic and massive sounding..only mod I've had done is having Lindy Fralin do front pickup magnet flip.

Peter Green: Five Essential 'Live' Solos - Guitar Player Magazine

I've written an article...a small labour of love about Five Essential 'Live' Solos by Peter Green for Guitar Player Magazine. Original photo by George Wilkes Archive.
https://www.guitarplayer.com/players/five-essential-peter-green-live-solos
I also want to add a public statement to my article: I love Claptons early work and his role w/Bluesbreakers is key to PG's history. To clarify regarding my comments about Clapton. I am only stating in article that Peter Green's work was On Par/Equal to Clapton's best. Peter Green's work deserves to been celebrated along with Clapton. It's unfortunate that when I was growing up, I never even heard of Peter Green..cause nobody was talking about him...while Clapton was everywhere, I am Grateful for both musicians.

Re-issue of 'We are All, One in the Sun: a Tribute to Robbie Basho on Obsolete Recordings

Today is the re-release via Obsolete Recordings of 'We are All One, In the Sun': a tribute to Robbie Basho feat. Glenn Jones, Meg Baird, Arborea, Steffen Basho-Junghans, Helen Espvall, Cian Nugent, Fern Knight, Rahim Alhaj. I started working on the production of this album in 2007 and it was first released by Important Records in 2010. UK Imprint altvinyl also did a limited Vinyl run. It still remains as one of my very favorite projects. The album made Acoustic Guitar magazine Best albums of 2010, Pitchfork 7.8, Mojo Magazine 4 Stars. I also wrote an extensive article about Basho 'Voice of the Eagle' for The Fretboard Journal that is worth checking out..it was published in 2012 in issue 24. Standing Rock Plain (Lyrics):

Travel safe my dear, don't get caught in the rain,
was the last thing you said, before I rode away
(chorus)
I'm Taking my horse to Standing Rock Plain
Where the sisters and brothers all sing in refrain
Let the Waters run clear on our ancestral land
Don't want no black oil, nor the pain that it brings

Hope I see you my dear and our babies again
If the cops, armoured trucks don't haul us away
Please Mr President give us back our green Earth
No more black oil, machines, or red rust

(chorus)
I'm making my way to Standing Rock Plain
Where the Great Sioux Nation all sing in Refrain
Don't want the black gold, nor the pain that it brings
Let the waters run clear on our ancestral land

They'd lay that pipeline a thousand miles long
Cut straight thru the bone of our sacred old home
and they'd lay that pipeline a thousand years more
pollutin' the waters with a future fargone

(chorus)
I'm Taking my horse to Standing Rock Plain
Where the sisters and brothers all sing in refrain
Let the Waters run clear on our ancestral land
Don't want no black oil, nor the pain that it brings
I'm making my way to Standing Rock Plain
Where the Great Sioux Nation all sing in Refrain
Don't want the black gold, nor the pain that it brings
Let the waters run clear on our ancestral land
...if we don't take a stand for all the babes just born
and we make our stand for all the children unborn

Buck Curran's 'Immortal Light' reviewed at Peghead Nation

Veteran KPFA Berekey DJ and writer Derk Richardson shares his thoughts on the vinyl edition of 'Immortal Light' via Peghead Nation! Out via ESP-Disk' and Obsolete Recordings. Happy New Year!
https://pegheadnation.com/commentary/derks-discoveries/bucks-vinyl-solution/
Review excerpt:
"One of the most sonically enveloping albums of 2016. Curran creates his spacious, slowly transmuting music by himself, multi-tracking acoustic and electric guitars, harmonium, flute, and banjo, singing through the ethereal fog on the songs “New Moontide,” “Seven Gardens to Your Shore,” and a timely cover of John Fogerty’s “Bad Moon Rising.” The CD version of Immortal Light is a beautiful thing—acoustic guitar notes crisp, spaces well defined, overall sonics crystal clear. But the vinyl edition is a revelation—palpably warmer, the edges of digital reproduction rounded off, the overtones fuller and richer, and the soundstage expanding in all directions to create an immersive listening experience in which it is easier to, perhaps impossible not to, become part of the music." - Derk Richardson/Peghead Nation
